If you want to get into the Alhambra you must book - we missed out but the gardens were free and wonderful.
Made friends with Cloti on the fish counter in Mercadona supermarket - she's a lovely lady and we've had wonderful fish from there during our stay. Also good bread from the shop along from the supermarket.

Fabulous time, lots of touring, Alpujarras truly world class. Enjoyable ' Menu's del dia ' along the coast and in the hills. Will miss it !

Very enjoyable having the dolphins for breakfast every morning. There are so many wines in the Rioja stable and 10 days wasn't long enough to gain a working knowledge of them !!
Tesorilla beach excellent, snorkelling, fishing and swimming. Megan enjoyed the market in Almuñecar ( she enjoys anything that involves spending money ) Great tablecloths, handbags and shoes worth a visit.

Had a lovely month, mostly sunny (some rain early on), very warm last two weeks. Loved the area and the mountains. Enjoyed our visit to Granada and seeing the snow on the high peaks, found lots of good places to eat. At last sighted the dolphins on our final day - wonderful.

What a fantastic fortnight. It is difficult to pick out a highlight as there were so many. The apartment is fabulous and the stretch of coastline stunning. These combined with wonderful beaches, good food and excellent weather led to the correct ingredients for a magical holiday.

As regular visitors to Spain, this is one of the best areas we have visited. It was very difficult to leave the wonderful views of the terrace. On the odd occasion that we did, the trip to the Alpujarras, especially Trevelez and Pampaniera was fantastic. A walk around the old town of Almuñecar was also memorable. The apartment is lovely with everything we needed, our hosts welcoming and helpful...................................

What can we say that hasn't already been said ? We came to Salobreña not knowing what to expect - not having visited Andalucia before. We have been pleasantly surprised. Salobreña grew on us daily. A terrific thunderstorm one evening this week had its rewards, a view next morning of the snow capped Sierra Nevada (the icing on the cake).
There are still lots of things we want to see so like everyone before us, we hope to return.
