The doors at Venta Luciano open at 8.30pm and it's a good idea to be prompt. The event is well organised and executed by efficient, trained staff who will keep you occupied throughout the evening.
The "Venta" in Spain is the equivalent of the British "Coaching Inn".
It is found throughout the countryside generally on the side of an original main road.
Venta Luciano is on the ancient main route from Granada City to the Coastal town of Almunecar.
Your evening at Venta Luciano will begin by a warm welcome and an introduction to the format for the evening by one of the staff.
Drinks are included in the ticket price as is the meal and all entertainment.
Price for 2008 is Euros 27.00 per person.
Whole chickens on the barbecue when you arrive.
Wandering minstrels entertain at your table.
Barbecue your own food.
You will be offered the opportunity to barbecue your own food - if you prefer the staff will help.
To acompany the barbcue there is lots of fresh baked "pan barra" and salad tables filled with locally grown produce - salad as you have never tased it before!!
Staff will help out.
After the meal you will be invited to the Flamenco theatre for a dramatic and very professional show.
Venta Luciano has been staging Flamenco since the 1950's and consequently attracts some of the best dance talent around.
