"La Herradura" (Horseshoe) Bay is one of the most popular outdoor sports centers on the Costa Tropical.
In La Herradura there are a number of PADI dive schools and offshore wreck diving is a favourite.
Hang gliding is also extremely popular with enthusiasts from all parts of Europe coming throughout the year to enjoy riding the thermals.
There are schools for hang gliding and beginners can try their first flight on a tandem rig with an experienced instructor.
"Marina del Este"
International yachting marina
has excellent restaurants in the
most romantic of settings. There is a delightful and generally quiet little beach to the side of the Marina with good parking.
Our favourite beach is "Tessorillo Cove"
one of the many sleepy little coves dotted along the coast.
Tessorillo has two beach restaurants and plenty of sun beds. This is an ideal corner for families - easy to keep an eye on the kids and lots to do.
"San Cristobal Beach" in Almunecar is about ten minutes drive from "Apartment Salobreña" and is bustling in the summer time.
During the winter months the long promenade is very popular especially on Sunday mornings when to "Paseo" and be seen is the thing to do.
There are so many beaches and coves within minutes of your apartment. Many offer all types of watersport from Jetski to scuba diving whilst many others offer no more than peace and tranquility - the choice is yours. There are also three naturist beaches within fifteen minutes drive of the apartment.

"Salobreña Beaches" are long and even in the height of the summer un-crowded. The main beach and promenade are about 2 kilometers in length and perfectly flat.
Scattered along the entire expanse you will find all kinds of little restaurants and beach side bars to sit and pass the time.
As is the custom here in Andalucia, Salobreña beach bars compete with one another to offer the best "Tapita" which is a free snack to enjoy with your beer or glass of wine.
